Four distinct genres will headline this year's fest
Performers will teach 12, 6 and 3 hour workshops on the respective genre

Against All Odds takes the audience on a joyful ride to the world of improvised old-school sports movies! Whose story will we be following this time? The lovable underdog or maybe the hard-edged coach? This is a world where you can never have too many inspirational speeches, training-montages, or crushed childhood dreams.
These four improvisers/wannabe athletes take the stage by storm and will leave themselves breathless. "It's not about sports, it's about life!"

Get ready to laugh and be amazed as SuperCut takes you on a wild ride through the world of Western films! This highly entertaining and completely spontaneous show will have you on the edge of your seat as the talented performers of SuperCut create a fully-fledged movie right before your eyes.
Whether it's a classic shootout at high noon or a heartwarming tale of friendship on the frontier, you can expect non-stop entertainment as these comedians work together to create a hilarious and memorable show.
Expect fast-paced action, hilarious dialogue, and unexpected twists and turns as the team expertly navigates the world of the Wild West.
The science fiction genre presents incredible worlds filled with space travel, robots, laser beams and giant worms.It tells stories of great heroes and villains, colossal battles of good vs evil. But what about the ordinary denizens of these extraordinary worlds? Goosehead seeks to introduce us to these everyday heroes. The little stories in the margins of the space operas. Catch up with a tribe of sand people at a family BBQ or see how a first date goes in Atlantis.Even a pan-galactic space wizard needs to wash her socks sometimes.
Acting is reacting.
This grounded show is based on the professional acting background of the improvisers and will be an emotional and real improv experience.
It focuses on the true and slow discoveries of both characters and plot.
Workshops will have an emphasis on acting techniques and truthful stage presence.

Length of workshops

Six hour workshops last 7 hours , since lunch break is included. This way you can spend more time practicing and taking the most out of the workshops.

Six and twelve hour workshops start at 10:30 and end at 17:30.

Surrounded by sprawling parkland, Sofia, lies at the foot of beautiful Vitosha mountain. With a history that stretches over seven millennia, archeological-rich Sofia is one of Europe's oldest cities.

About ShiZi Improv Theater
We are ShiZi Pro - the first longform improv company in Bulgaria. We are following the Chicago style improv tradition for more than 10 years, doing weekly shows on a 130 seat venue in central Sofia. Our main show combines a longform format with monologues and musical improv.
In 2016 we added a Shakespeare style improv show to our repertoire. Since 2018 we are also playing an improvised musical and in 2020 we stared playing Improvised Tarantino and a few other shows, just before the pandemic.
Thanks to our dedicated community, we kept teaching our improv classes during the past two years and started performing again to a full theater in early may 2022.
We are getting ready to a fantastic start of the new season with the sixth edition of Sofia International Improv Fest!
