Menelaos Prokos is an improviser based in Athens, Greece. His improv brain, though, grew in Austin, TX. After that, he moved back to his hometown, where he founded ImproVIBE, the country's first and -currently- only improv school and theater. During the years of ImproVIBE's operation he's been teaching day-in day-out the art of improv, taking the students from their very first improv baby steps, to advanced longform shows and everything in between.
He regularly runs applied improv workshops for local businesses and multinational corporations the likes of Pfizer, Vodafone, and Nestle. Outside of Greece, he has taught/performed in Belgium, The Netherlands, Sweden, Turkey, Romania, Finland, Germany, Estonia, USA, France, Colombia. During this period of time, his teaching primarily focuses on acting natural, adding fun and realism that comes directly from the soul and pushing the students towards enjoying everything they do on stage. A phrase that perfectly encapsulates the way he enjoys performing is one once said by Del Close: "Improv is a primarily comedic form of theater that can tear your heart out at any given moment.".
He is also the producer of Mt Olymprov, Greece's International improv Festival taking place every June in Athens. More than anything, he believes very strongly in the power of improv to make better people and constantly works towards its dissemination in Greece and beyond.
When not swimming the improv seas, he spends most of his free time cycling, playing (as well as performing at) escape room games and cleaning up the mess his dog makes.

The Bench - 6 hours
Benches in Greece are part of our culture and integrated in our surroundings. They are either added artificially, or we turn anything nature provides us and use it as a bench. Benches are elements of our everyday life that bring people together, closer; be it strangers or otherwise. And when two people meet on a bench, a very special bond is created between them.
The Bench is a slow improv format that we heavily work on at ImproVIBE in Greece. We believe in the beauty of taking things slowly on stage. Discovering the little elements that make a difference and can feed our impulses is what trains our observation skills and helps us read our scene partner much better and in much more depth. Ultimately, The Bench trains us to focus on building very strong relationships on stage, that take our scenes to a much deeper and meaningful level.
This workshop will do exactly as it says. Take things slow, so don't expect crazy high energy.
Suitable for all levels of experience.
